Terms and Conditions

Welcome to CampusXchange (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website www.campxg.com (the “Platform”) and the services provided therein. By registering, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be a current college student and at least 17 years of age to use CampusXchange.

  • By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete.

2. Platform Usage

You agree to:

  • Use the Platform strictly for buying or selling physical goods among verified campus peers.

  • Not use CampusXchange to post illegal, offensive, or misleading content.

  • Not attempt to bypass our payment flow, delivery coordination, or communication system to avoid platform fees or responsibilities.

3. User Responsibilities

Sellers

  • Must ensure listings are accurate, legal, and owned by them.

  • Are responsible for timely communication and handover of items once purchased.

  • Agree to honor scheduled pickups or delivery agreements.

Buyers

  • Must verify item condition before confirming delivery.

  • Are responsible for making accurate payments via the prescribed method (e.g., Razorpay or UPI).

  • Must not misuse return/refund requests.

4. Listings and Content

We reserve the right to:

  • Approve, edit, or remove listings that violate our guidelines.

  • Limit or restrict listings to certain campuses, categories, or conditions during the MVP stage.

You retain rights to your uploaded content but grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for display, marketing, and operational purposes.

5. Payments and Pricing

  • CampusXchange charges a small fixed platform fee per transaction (e.g., ₹14), subject to change.

  • Special discounts or waiver days (e.g., Free Fridays) may apply but are entirely at our discretion.

  • Sellers receive payouts after buyer confirms delivery. Until then, CampusXchange may hold the payment in a pending state.

  • Refunds (where applicable) are processed manually and may take up to 3–5 business days.

6. Communication and Disputes

  • Buyers and sellers may communicate via our built-in coordination tools. Sharing contact details before an order is discouraged and may result in restrictions.

  • CampusXchange is not liable for any personal arrangements made outside the platform.

  • In the case of disputes, our team may intervene but final responsibility rests with the users involved.

7. Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Listing prohibited or counterfeit goods.

  • Circumventing the payment system.

  • Posting false, defamatory, or misleading information.

  • Exploiting bugs, scraping data, or using bots.

Violation of any of the above may result in permanent account suspension and possible legal action.

8. Intellectual Property

All logos, branding elements, design layouts, and proprietary features of CampusXchange belong to us. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user account without notice if:

  • Platform misuse or fraudulent activity is detected.

  • User fails to comply with any of these Terms.

  • We are required to do so by law or regulation.

10. Limitation of Liability

CampusXchange is a student-to-student marketplace platform. While we moderate listings and collect minimal fees, we are not responsible for:

  • Product quality, defects, or misrepresentation.

  • Damages, losses, or injuries resulting from transactions or in-person exchanges.

Use the platform at your own discretion and risk.

11. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes might be communicated via platform notifications or email. Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of revised terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
